Poseidon

In 'Poseidon' Josh Lucas plays Dylan Johns, a professional person gambler. When a freak 'rogue moving ridge' incident causes the Poseidon cruise send to capsize, Dylan has take chances for his life. Deciding non to listen to the helm (Andre Braugher), Dylan tries leads a group of passengers (Kurt Russell, Richard Dreyfuss, Emmy Rossum, etc.) to prophylactic.

This is a modern remake of the 1972 'The Poseidon Adventure'. I do not remember the original, merely I recollect this i live up to its name. It is like 'Titanic' meets 'The Towering Inferno'. There is a lot of intense action that keeps ane on the edge of their seat.

There is not much drama and I do not recall information technology will add too much to the original story. I too noticed that the movie is just over an hour and a half, it is not very long. Nonetheless, I retrieve audiences volition savor the intensity of this film.

Vastly outnumbered, the Greeks held back the enemy in 1 of the nigh famous last stands of history. Persian King Xerxes lead a Army of well over 100,000 (Persian king Xerxes before war has near 170,000 army) men to Greece and was confronted by 300 Spartans, 700 Thespians and other Slave soldiers. Xerxes waited for ten days for King Leonidas to give up or withdraw left with no options he moved. The battle lasted for about 3 days and after which all 300 Spartans were killed. The Spartan defeat was not the one expected as a local shepherd named Ephialtes defected to the Persians and informed Xerxes of a separate path through Thermopylae, which the Persians could utilise to outflank the Greeks.
